Access AIR: Bangalore Airport (BLR) is a domestic airport that caters to certain international flights too. It is about 8 km from M.G. Road and about 6 km from the city center. Bangalore has direct international flights from Frankfurt on Lufthansa (daily flights), from Singapore on Silk Air (Singapore Airlines), from Kuala Lumpur on Malaysian Airlines, from London on British Airways (daily flights), from Paris on Air France, and from Bangkok on Thai Airways.

Major domestic players like the Indian Airlines (official), Jet Airways, Sahara and so on have daily flights from Bangalore to important Indian cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Kochi, Mangalore, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram. Kingfisher Airlines is a Bangalore based discount airline company, offering regular flights between Bangalore, Delhi, Goa and Mumbai.

RAIL: Bangalore has two railway stations, the Bangalore City and Bangalore Cantt (Cantonment). It is a major junction in the Southern Railway with direct trains to New-Delhi, Chennai, Calcutta, Mumbai, Hyderabad and so on. The Bangalore City railway station is situated in the centre of the city, around the Majestic Bus stand and all trains, local and out-bound arrive and depart from here. The other one located in the Cantonment Area has fewer trains stopping here.

Note that if you are booking at Bangalore Central and are traveling to Mysore, there is a different line for travelers to Mysore and travelers to all other destinations.
