Some trains from within the state now also pull in at Tambaram Station, an hour from Chennai. Information on the arrival-departure status of trains can be had from the Indian govt. Official site (www.indianrail.gov.in or www.southernrailway.org).

ROAD :Tamil Nadu is a fairly massive chunk and traveling from one spot to another within it can be quiet tiresome by road. Touring is best done in a rented coach/car with a driver who knows the way to the best sights, and has a fair knack of the peak traffic hours. State Transport has regular buses interstate buses from the newly opened Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminal at Jawaharlal Nehru Salai, Koyembedu. It is claimed to be the largest bus station in Asia. Private cars, luxury coaches can also be hired. Our agents will take care of the bookings, if you are traveling with us - that is. If you are traveling to Bangalore, it is better to opt for the Shatabdi Express, because the 8 hour by road might be tiring.

Stay At
This beach city has some very cool resorts and if you have the moolah, why not! Those who want to save more for the tour, also have some good staying choices. The real fun is always more at the sights, but we also cannot sideline the comfort of a great bed to retire for the night after a tired day of sightseeing, can we?
The Fisherman's Cove Resort (50 min from the airport) is one exciting lodging option for a laid-back vacation. Check in at Taj Connemara if you want your stay to be camouflaged in some regalia and antiquity. For back-packers, its always the YMCA International Guest House, which is the best option.
