Access AIR : The Cochin International Airport is located 25 km northeast of the city, alongside National Highway 47, at Nedumbassery. Foreign and national carriers have flights to overseas destinations like Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dhahran, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Muscat, Singapore and Sharjah. Domestic flights ply between all important Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Goa, Lakshadweep, Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Thiruvananthapuram, and Bangalore.

RAIL : Kochi has three railway stations: Ernakulam Junction, Ernakulam Town and Willingdon Island's Cochin Harbour Terminus. Trains from the northern cities/southern parts of India stop at Ernakulam Junction. Departing from Delhi, the biweekly (Tues and Sat) Trivandrum Rajdhani makes its way to Calicut, Cochin, and Trivandrum. The computerized reservations office is at the Junction Railway Station (Mon-Sat 8am-2pm and 2:15-8pm; Sun 8am-2pm).

ROAD : The highway routes to Kochi are excellent, both in terms of condition and scenic beauty. The KSRTC Central Bus Station is near the Junction Railway Station. Long-distance private buses are available from stands at Kaloor, High Court Junction, and Ernakulam South. For journeys between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, you can expect long but beautiful stretches along National Highway 47, which traverses hairpin mountain passes.
