The J&K State Road Transport Corporation (J&K SRTC) operates regular Deluxe & ordinary bus services between Srinagar & Leh on this route with an overnight halt at Kargil. Taxi cost approximately Rs 12,000. It will be wise to plan the road trip well in advance.

The second option is to head to Manali (Himachal Pradesh).
