The piquant four century old Samode Palace graces a small village some 1-hr drive away from Jaipur city center. It can be reached by a short road from Chandwaji on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. The Jaipur Airport is 12 km/7 mile away.

Samode's claim to stardom :
Come, look and feel for youself, what made Samode Palace win the Award for the Best Heritage Hotel in the country for 5 consecutive years. Indian admirers, include Bollywood heartthrobs like Amitabh Bachan, Madhuri Dixit, Shah Rukh Khan, Amisha Patel and Vinod Khanna.

Ethnic Rooms :
Samode Palace has 43 colossus rooms including 15 deluxe suites, and three Royal suites. Interiors embellished with local Rajasthani hand block print textiles, antique artifacts, marbled floors, intricately carved four poster beds - all recreate that Rajputana glamor, not worth missing!

Wine & Dine :
Rajasthani, Asian and European cuisine are Samode's kitchen specialties. You can either dine indoors or in the sweeping, lush lawns.

Anniversaries, birthdays, weddings accompanied by a procession led by elephants, horses and camels all happen here, which also means, you can either host one or get yourself invited to one of the traditional Hindu wedding fare.

Hotel Samode Palace in Jaipur Samode Palace Jaipur Deluxe Suite

Reviews

It used to be a Fortified settlement of the Rajputana royalty and depicts Rajput-Moghul architecture. Its diwan-i-khas or the Dorbar Hall with the Rajputana paintings looks too royal for a hotel. The Sheesh Mahal or the Palace of Mirrors was my personal favorite. The Arabian Nights purlieu is best enjoyed if you book a room that has its windows opening to the lovely pool and the Aravalli range. Do take a trip to the neighboring Samode Bagh, a part of the Samode Hotels, for its interesting tents and 200 feet long row of fountains fed from natural springs. Shekhawati region and the desert sand dunes are best explored from here. And the camel rides might give you back-aches, but trust me it is worth it!
