Why stay at Wildgrass Resort...

Location:
Just outside the main entrance of the one-horn Rhino homeland, Kaziranga National Park is located the Wild Grass Resort. It is perhaps the nearest to the Park and being a part of that topography, the premises of the Resort is actually full of wild vegetation - manicured, of course. Some 42 tree species and about 210 types of shrub, makes Wildgrass a botanical garden of sorts. From Guwahati, it takes you 5-hr (approx.) to reach this place.

Accommodation at Wildgrass:
The Resort has 18 double rooms and 2 jungle cottages. These are most gorgeously appointed and with bamboo and cane furniture all about the place, you are constantly reminded of being the closest-to-nature. Alternatively, you also have the option of overnighting at the 3 famed tents, courtesy Wildgrass Tented Camp, amidst a purlieu of ruins, tall trees and ensured animal sightings.

‘Food’ different at Wildgrass:
The Resort’s multi-cuisine restaurant serves the regular palates, but what makes it special is the ingredients are organic fresh and prepared in a way that the nutrient value is restored. Do not miss the Assamese (local cuisine) thali there.

Wildgrass Specials:
The Resort hosts elephant safaris at the crack of the dawn, tours to the neighboring tea-plantations, nature treks, tribal village safaris, naturalist guides to make your wildlife safaris more than sightseeing tours. And if you want to carry a high resolution camera along, the resort provides them for hire (regular cameras also available for hire). The windows, balconies, terraces – all open to plush and endless green of the rain-quenched forests, so typical of this North-Eastern heartland. A week spent here would mean basking in the lap of nature in the real sense of the term – fresh air, fresh food, animal safaris and what not!
